Inclusion

We believe football has the power to break down barriers, bring people together and improve both physical and mental wellbeing.

Our inclusion programmes create welcoming, supportive spaces where people can get active, build confidence, make new connections and enjoy being part of a community — whatever their age, ability or background.

From Walking Football for men and women, to Pitch Positive, supporting men’s mental health, Talk of The Town, helping people aged 50+ reduce social isolation, MAN v FAT, supporting men with weight loss and wellbeing, and COMETS Football, our inclusive football programme, we continue to use the power of football to support people across our community.

We have recently employed specialist coaches for our inclusion programmes from a range of backgrounds and experiences so that participants are getting the specialist support that is required.

Another arm of our inclusion department is growth of opportunities for women and girls. We have recently launched programmes for new mums, teenage girls and women new to football. With record numbers on our summer camps, we can’t wait to see this grow further in 26/27.

Our programme of inclusion work continues to expand and evolve, and we are constantly exploring new partnerships, settings and opportunities to reach more people who could benefit from being active, connected and supported.
